Don't get the middle-of-the-road reviews. This place is fantastic organic omelette softshell crab omelette great salads can't beat this place for breakfast

loved this place! great atmosphere, very lively, and surprisingly mazing food! I'm a huge egg lover, and they had really good portion of eggs with steak and grits. Excellent service, the waitress was very engaging and genuine, I could tell she knew her stuff with all the dishes. DESSERT is a MUST HAVE!

Service was good. Food was just OK. The prices are outrageous. $7 for two eggs and toast? $18 omelettes? No thanks.

Tried this spot on a recommendation from a friend. He really missed on this one. Cute decor; beachy. We were greeted quickly. Sat at a table for two. Approached by three different servers for our order before we even had time to look at the menu. Coffee served could clog a truck. I take mine black but had to use three sugars and two creams to make it drinkable. No matter though because after meal ordered we never saw a server again. No refills on coffee and water not offered. Had to wait forever to even be acknowledged for a check to pay. Then no one knew where to find our check. All this time, I watched four different tables seat and be totally ignored by four servers. All had to complain before being recognized. Will say that the home fries were better than average but everything else was bland an not worth the money. I had the eggs b with crab. Too soggy and tasteless. Breakfast sandwich with ham also bland. Problem with service is that no one is assigned tables. They all seem to be trying to pick and choose what they want to do wich is mostly. Bus tables and avoid seated customers. We eat breakfast out every weekend but wil cross this place off the list. No recommendations from me.

Great place. Best breakfast anywhere. Nothing canned or institutionalized. Veggies grown organically in garden behind rest. I'm tired of institutionalized, canned, or pre-made entrees, this place is clean, fresh and it's like eating at grandma's house.

Service was horrible! We went for breakfast and were welcomed nicely and had our drinks quickly. Unfortunately it was downhill from there. We sat at the table for a good twenty minutes without being acknowledged. This type of service does not deserve our patronage... So we left. We will not be returning.

I have breakfast regularly at this place, Usually after a bike ride. The food is fresh and the wait staff is attentive. The owner usually comes over to ask how everything is going. This is a really great beachfront place to have a relaxing breakfast. This place is owned by locals which makes it extra special.

Really good fresh Inventive menu. They tend to incorporate fresh fish or seafood into omelets or Benedicts which I love. Home fries are decent. The multi grain toast is excellent. Had salmon cheese spinach omelet. It was great. Wife had avocado crab omelet with goat cheese. Really tasty. Not a hint of seafood smell. Fresh apple juice, fresh lemonade. They clearly take extra steps to be better than standard stop. One check minus: Their jelly for toast is smuckers. A place like this should make their own jelly/jam and sell it. They're better than smuckers. Kids chicken and fries looked fantastic. Good easy service. Friendly staff. Been here before. Coming back. Menu tends to change for positive. They clearly care about their food.

Yes it's a little pricy for lunch/breakfast.. but they are pretty much the only game in town for quality food steps from the beach so it's to be expected. We came for lunch on a sunday, we sat outside and there are about 6 outside tables. The menu serves breakfast all day as well as a bunch of lunch sandwiches and salads. I Ordered a bloody mary to drink. And ate the daily special of crab meat tacos. The tacos came with the choice of side of fries, salad, or Cole slaw. I got the salad. The BF got the horseradish crusted fish with fries. The bloody mary was great. The mix was nice and spicy. My food was fantastic. The tacos were STUFFED with chilled crab meat, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. There was a spicy sauce for the tacos and the salad came with a simple oil/balsamic dressing. The crab was so plentiful I was happy I had the salad to use to eat up the crab that fell from the taco shell. The BF thought his food was good but not amazing. His sandwich came on a huge chiabatta bread and he said it was a bit dry. All in all our meal was about 45 bucks, a bit pricy for two lunch entrees, but it was tasty and healthy enough where I didn't feel full and gross on the beach right after.

We stopped here after a morning at the beach, and chose this place based on its Google reviews. It was the off season and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered the Corvina fish tacos, my companion ordered the crab cakes. Both dishes were delicious and yummy. Both the crab and Corvina were treated expertly. The waiter was attentive, efficient, and prompt without being obtrusive. For some reason I had a feeling he was one of the owners although I might be wrong. Yes it is pricey, but so is everything in Boca. We paid $15 for parking at the public beach park nearby so we figured restaurant prices wouldn't be any different. I imagine this place is packed during the busy season.

This is indeed the best kept secret on Palmetto Park Road! The crabmeat is the most delicious, freshest I've ever had. Maryland or Soft Shell, both are fantastic. The omelletes are some of the most creative and all are the most delicious I've ever had. The freshest ingredients and made-to-order service, make all the difference. The staff makes you feel like family each and every time and if you're lucky enough you may even get a personal visit from the owners thanking you for your visit. The thanks was indeed all on this side of the table....my favorite creation here (yes, everything is prepared exactly how you request it) is probably the Omelette with Crab, Green Peppers, Onions and Cheddar. The home fries complete the tastebud explosion! I can't wait to get back to Boca to experience everything else on their extensive menu. The prices aren't the lowest, but you'll be happy to pay twice as much once you taste the fresh, robust flavors! That type of attention to detail and quality are priceless! Enjoy!

Seems like people either love it or hate it. Have to say we loved it. Given that the outside and inside have two totally different vibes, I'd say your experience may depend on where you sit. We sat outside and it was quite pleasant, if not breezy! The inside looks like a beach house (well, duh) with light blue walls, white wicker furniture, etc. Interesting look, kinda like grandma's beach house back in the 80's. Service was friendly and attentive with two staffers manning the patio so we never really had an issue getting another beer or our check. Food came out fast and was quite tasty. Wife had the fish tacos and I had a really terrific burger with sweet potato fries. Both were sizable and had a healthy share of toppings. As this place is focused on breakfast and lunch, the menu revolved around items like omlettes, sandwiches, etc. You can breakfast served all day which is pretty sweet if you're looking for pancakes for lunch. Which really, who doesn't love that!? Beer service is in bottle and is limited to some basic domestics and a few outliers like Corona which is what we ultimately went with. We spent $57 with tax and tip for 2 lunch entrees and 3 beers. Pricey for lunch? Eh... compared to fast food maybe but this is Boca after all... This is a solid choice if you're in the area and looking for a decent lunch. Food isn't going to change your world but sometimes you just want something you can count on. This is your place.
(4)Joe G.
Small but relaxed! They don't have coolers so the menu is limited. What we had for wraps were very good.
(3)Kristen R.
I have never had Brussel Sprouts in an omelet, and I have to say... WOW. It was incredible! Fresh grown from their garden, and it shows. This place is amazing if you're in town for vacation, I highly recommend! My boyfriend got the soft shell crab eggs benedict and it was also amazing!
(5)Rachel B.
We love this place! Always great service, and delicious fresh and flavorful food. Our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Boca. The corned beef hash and the breakfast potatoes are the best. They also have seasonal juices so when tangerine is in season, you're in luck! We've never had a bad experience here, not sure where the negative reviews stem from.
(4)Ciera C.
The service was great but the food was lame. My omelet was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I can make an omelet at my house better than the one I was served. Not to mention for 2 people the bill was an outrageous price of $43 for 2 omelets and some coffee. I wouldn't recommend this place. At all.
(2)Sheri J.
Was not impressed. Ordered a simple egg sandwich and could not get it made correctly. Also found out eggs are not made fresh to order but are made early in day. Not what I would expect from a place that specializes in breakfast.
(1)Rebecca D.
I just had a delicious lunch here. They use local fresh in season ingredients and you can tell, it was delicious! All of their dressings are non GMO as well. The service was excellent. I can't wait to go back and try something else
(5)Karen F.
this place is overpriced and service is mediocre. food is good but they nickle and dime you. the server took our order and said- what kind of toast would you like, this comes with potatoes or grits....never once mentioned everything was an additional charge. the food isn't close to good enough to charge these prices. $43 for two breakfasts- no alcohol. seriously? we won't be back.
(1)Joel L.
I really should leave 0 stars because this was just plain bad. The grits were not even cooked and when we sent them back the waiter brought back the same thing. I could not snap on him because I was on a date. The sausage seemed like cheap brown & serve and was very salty and I don't ever complain about salt because I like it this was just too much. The home fries were out of a bag and if by chance they were fresh that's even worse because they were tiny, hard potato cubes. Terrible for a place that says garden fresh. Terrible breakfast experience for $22 for 2 orders of eggs, potatoes and sausage and only 1 cup of coffee. Needless to say I will never go near this place again. Fancy menu and all.
(1)Scott G.
Food was good. Customer service needed a lot of work. Pricey and most things were an upcharge. Thankfully didn't have to pay for silverware. Not running back....
(1)Noam K.
This place is fantastic. Don't know what the complaints are about. The food is fantastic, the service was fast and friendly, and the ambience is friendly and casual. A tiny but pricey, but I appreciate the attention to quality locally sourced ingredients so for me it's worth it. They have an espresso bar as well for those who need it. Highly recommended.
(5)Garett G.
Hands down the best breakfast in Boca Raton Fl. Howard and his staff are on top of everything, cooking with local organic fruits and veggies. Hands down the best corn beef hash around. Thank you Howard and yor staff for being the best breakfast place around.
(5)Joseph E.
Consistently fresh and delicious. Our favorites are the horseradish crusted fish sandwich and their salads are great! Check out their specials, Howard and his restaurant aim to please. Definitely worth checking this place out.
(5)Brooke M.
Food was good but not worth the price!! $20 for a egg white omelette with spinach and a side of fruit that had about 4 small bites. I left feeling hungry and ripped off!
(2)Daura A.
Se just left this place after 5 minutes waiting fr them to clean up empty tables and 10 minutes wait to order, to finally be told they for offer fresh juices anymore today even though the menu says so. We left since that was the reason to go there.
(1)Joan F.
This is the best restaurant and best kept secret in Boca. Everything I have ever eaten here is beyond delicious. It's family owned and run. They even grow most of their vegetables. Had the most delicious dinner there last night. They are only open for dinner once a week. Best breakfast and lunch. I could eat there every day!
(5)Scott K.
Food came out really fast and fresh! The chicken tacos were awesome and the grilled mahi was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was excellent. Great little spot.
(4)Tony W.
Popped in here for Sunday brunch after reading the reviews on yelp and have mixed feelings on this place. Nice and clean and the service was very good and parking round the back was a plus in that area. I went for the Crab eggs benedict, There was more crab than I have every had anywhere else before which was a plus and it was fresh but I did bite on a piece of shell, which could have been bad!, but my eggs were way under cooked and when I cut into them the water and egg yolk covered my muffin and made it soggy and it was swimming around the plate! I can take running eggs but this was way under cooked add to this the hollandaise sauce was unlike any I have had before and seemed to be all butter and added to the pool of fluids I had in the bottom of my plate. My wife said much the same about the Hollandaise, it spoilt the breakfast. Shame really as it could have been a very good meal. Will I go back? Not for now, will check the reviews again first to see if there is any change.

I love the concept but is not warm at all, I don't mean it by temperature but by deco and service. They have a nice terrace with umbrellas and nice local art. I ordered breakfast and I wasn't very thrilled with their food. I always support local business but this time I won't be supporting this one.
(2)Bubba G.
Came here for a late lunch. Ordered a salad that came drenched in oil. Poor vegetables. That's all they tasted like...oil!! Not to mention that a salad with a grilled tilapia on top cost me more than $16. Please!! Super overpriced for a crappy salad. The server was a sweetheart though. Meh! Not coming back! Not memorable at all.
(1)Trish H.
Not great-slow service & no flavor in our sandwiches. It's success can only be due to its close proximity to the beach. A bit pricey also
(3)Tara D.
Really quite disappointed. Went specifically because I was looking for Crab Cake Benedict in Boca and this place was highly recommended. Nope. Loose crab on top of an almost cold over-done egg. But overall is just just really tasteless... had to ask for ketchup 3 times for the cold potatoes. Would not recommend and will not go back. For almost $20 for a breakfast one would expect a WHOLE lot more.

Have to be honest ... Last minute packed Memorial Day trip...totally packed annoying Boca Raton, drive just 30 seconds off the beach to a not super descrit spot just to 1. Have parking to eat. 2. To actually eat without an hour wait. And bam! Boca Beach House! Food was unreal! Being from New York, of course I had the New Yorker steak and eggs, beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned. Just great...washed down with a couple of ice cold beers! My friend had the shrimp tacos...and a mimosa fantastic as well!!! Check this little place out, great fun wait staff, we had Maria! And super nice owner Howard came to the table to check on us personally! Guys thanks making my day!!!

Go for breakfast on a business day. Doesn't open until 0800?! Seems a little late for breakfast, but what the heck. The omelet I ordered was good, the toast was OK, the coffee was OK, but not too good on the refills. That seemed a bit lame as I, as most, like coffee in the morning. The location is good and easy to find. Sitting on the sidewalk is great, being outside in the fresh air is always best, but this is a fairly busy road so the traffic, exhaust, etc. can take away from the ambiance. In short, not bad at all but nothing special and it is a bit pricey. Yes, I'd go back, but not pining for it either.

went for a late breakfast/early lunch. I had ordered the turkey reuben and after one bite I knew i wouldnt be able to finish it because it was gross. The waitress was very nice and understanding but said the manager would make me pay for it. The manager then came to the table and said that there was nothing wrong with the food and that this was not a "taste testing" and that there must be something wrong with me. At this point it isn't even about the food, it's about the lack of customer service and apparent lack of common sense that the owner/manager had.
(1)Diane R.
The food was excellent, the service was great, the key lime pie was to die for and the atmosphere was so very fitting for the name. It was a dining experience of great quality.
(5)James L.
Cozy little spot right near the beach. I stopped here with a my family, which included 6 adults and a baby, for a late breakfast. I was skeptical because of our size but we were able to be seated instantly and served very promptly. i had a delicious coffee to start which was tasty and strong, something I certainly needed for that crowd. I just ordered an egg sandwich which was rather large but doable for someone that has an appetite in the morning. It had eggs and sausage with my choice for cheese and bread and a side of home-fries. Everything was good but not great. My family seemed to like their food and my mom even took the left overs of her mango pancakes. The staff was very pleasant and loved the baby. My family was so demanding that I never got the chance to get cream in my coffee, but that what happens with so much family. I would go back and eat there again for sure. Warning- do not take MY family out to eat, just take your own.

We were visiting Boca Raton over the holidays where we found this restaurant and went several times and loved it! The food was made as if cooking at home and the portions were big! You can eat outside or inside. It is decorated so cute. The service was wonderful and we look forward to going there on our next visit.
(5)Joe M.
A bit pricey but you pay for the location. $28 for lunch for 2. . One ice tea, spinach omelet and Mahi Mahi sandwich.A bit skimpy on the fish for the price. Met the owner. Very nice. Explained how she and her husband grow most of the vegetables and herbs..
(3)Roger H.
Very nice little place Good coffee and food, server was great
(4)Tandori J.
The location is great if you want to walk off the pancake calories on the beach Nearby. We tried the mango pancakes which really were regular pancakes with chopped mangoes slapped on top. Nothing spectacular about this place- its such a cute south FL breakfast joint with annoying waitresses
(3)Thomas S.
I was sent here by an employee of mine. Nice little place right near the beach. Food was great and the service was excellent!! Great job
(5)D D.
I've been here a few times and each time I go it's gotten worse. Today it hit bottom. They didn't acknowledge us when we came in. We found our own small table for two. Still no one came over and only when I got someone's attention (when they went to the table who sat next to us after we came in) did we even get water...and nothing else, no silverware, no menus, nothing. We finally ordered a cold soup a salad and half a sandwich. Got the soup but half and hour later still no food. It's also very overpriced for what it is. Due to the lack of attention and service I had tons of time to look around and can see how disgustingly dirty it is. I don't think they've ever cleaned the floors since they've opened, let alone the walls or windows. Don't go!!!
(1)Jim D.
Terrible service. Tourist trap. They up charge for toast and serve one slice. Portion control to the rediculous. Fair quality. After breakfast $28 and left starving. We don't mind paying for good quality and don't eat huge portions but what they served was a joke.
(1)Sherri R.
We just happened upon this restaurant during a recent visit to Florida. The wait staff was very friendly and excited about the food! Everything was fresh and delicious!! The gazpacho was the best I have ever had. The turkey burger was seasoned perfectly and very tasty. I really wanted to try their breakfast foods but didn't have the opportunity to go back. It is a bit pricey but I don't mind paying a bit more for good, real food.
(5)Andres C.
I want to try a restaurant near the beach and this was the place to go I heard. Their menu was very appealing and while the prices are a little high, I decided to try it out. The staff are super nice, but the food was a little over priced.

Meal: Breakfast Date: November 22, 2012 Time: 11:00 am Party: 5 Special considerations: Non-locals on vacation Pros: - The food was excellent - well seasoned and attractively presented. - Very good selection of dishes, sides, and delicious free holiday cookies on Thanksgiving Day (!). - Decor was memorable and quirky with some local artists' work on display. - The service was very friendly and a woman who looked as if she might be the owner was doing a fine job of overseeing things. - Extensive daily specials. - No trouble finding parking. - Prices were much more reasonable than at the hotel for food that was as good or better. Prices don't seem out of line to someone who is used to paying for things in New York... Cons: - We were unable to stick two tables together for a party of five. - The specials board had some typos on it. Not a big deal; we just got a chuckle out of it. - The menu didn't indicate foods which would meet special dietary needs (vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, nuts, etc.). - We had to ask for water in addition to other drinks. Would return? YES. Would recommend? YES.
